Feeling at home

Milan: Six stories, six different ways to feel at home in a city that is not your own. Six different ways to find the right conditions to feel at home. Six physical, emotional and mental approaches to feel good in an “unknown place”.
The project comes from a set of strictly personal experiences and stories that have been narrated from friends and strangers over the time. The series aims to be a simple but sincere glimpse of a Milan made up of “strangers”, such as people who have moved to this city at a given time in their lives.
Being at home, feeling at home, is often associated with specific ways of living spaces, people and, above all, the moments that mark the interaction between spaces and people. In an almost therapeutic way, we decided to walk the streets of Milan in search of small details able to give voice to these stories and these different ways of feeling at home, often defined by a look, a perspective, a way of seeing and selecting consequently.
